Studio Ghibli movie - Spirited Away
To me, the hidden meaning in this scene is that money is just another paper. She spent so much time and risked her life to obtain this train ticket that could take her back into her real life/family. During the process, she lost her own identity, status, and goals, only to see it being shredded to pieces like a worthless piece of paper. She did that for this? Worth it?
